Dog matters

Two things are on my mind today, amazingly. Only two big things.

One big thing is him:

"Let it be known I am not putting you under ANY pressure to take me out for a walk. See? I am here merely for the sun"
“Let it be known I am not putting you under ANY pressure to take me out for a walk. See? I am here merely for the sun”

There he is, the only thing that matters. It was his 11th birthday on the 25th of August, two days ago, and he had a day full of treats, hugs (more than usual), even naughty naughty things, like eggs and cake and bacon and sausages.

Yesterday it was my second son’s 18th birthday. He had an interview with his Higher Education course of choice (BTEC Level 5 HND Diploma in Music) and aced it, and in the afternoon though tired oud (One hour there one hour back, we’re just not used to so much driving anymore, none of us, where has that madwoman who could drive for 12 hours straight from Marseille to Northern Italy gone? Gone, gone, gone). I (the woman who cannot cook to save her life) MADE HIM what he wanted, a Mille Foglie with Rasberries, and it was bloody delicious.

Yesterday Zoom kept wanting a repeat of the day before: More treats, hugs, cakes, sausages and bacon! So we gave him a bit of my son’s cake, even though it’s very very bad for him but it was a bit of an extra treat.

This morning I had breakfast with a mug of Earl Grey and a piece of cake. Zoom was interested:

Ehm.. that cake? I'm interested.
Ehm.. that cake? I’m interested.

As I ignored him, he huffed and came to show me, since I’m daft.

Oh for crying out loud. THIS ONE. I want THIS ONE.
Oh for crying out loud. THIS ONE. I want THIS ONE.

I wait. I hope. I pray.

There is little that is more gorgeous than my doge, as we have been calling him lately.

He is now 11 and looking pretty good ๐Ÿ™‚

The other thought I might share in aย  little while. But see, you may wake up full of thoughts and some may cross you, then you see this doge and all disappears: first you must take him out for a walk, then give him lots of cuddles and hugs and before you know it, you forgot what it was that you were thinking.

    1. Oh yeah, he’s a handsome dark Italian beaut ๐Ÿ™‚ . The owner of the parents called him that temporarily because he “zoomed” out of his mum! But we just loved it too much and kept it ๐Ÿ˜€
