Skipping along

One may find, joyful and crystal clear light and utter darkness alternate faster than one would expect.
You know you’re the one that flipped the switch, except you have no idea why, or how, or when was the exact moment you did it. And even when you do, you pinpoint it that is, and just KNOW it, you say ‘Ah, that was it’, it’s too late, it’s done, you fumble in the darkness and crash into things. Then you stumble and fumble and struggle and panic until you find the light switch and realise everyone else had already left the room, their party carrying on as though nothing had happened.
